Guidelines for Submissions

  1. Pertinent:

    The submission content must pertain to topics of financial health, inclusive finance and sustainable finance. It is essential that submissions are pertinent and captivating for Financial Health Community of Practice users, including but not limited to:

    • Financial service providers like banks, insurance companies, Fintech firms, microfinance institutions, non-banking financial companies, credit unions, savings groups, etc., operating in emerging economies
    • Technical assistance providers
    • Mobile network operators and technology providers
    • Donors
    • Investors and impact/outcome investors
    • Academicians like researchers, subject matter experts, students, etc
    • Governments, policymakers, regulators
    • Ecosystem stakeholders like innovation hubs, payments and other networks/associations, credit bureaus, rating and standards agencies, etc.

    The FH Community of Practice is a neutral platform to engage stakeholders and drive mainstreaming of financial health. It showcases different views, thoughts and evidence from organisations, individuals across markets.

  2. Language:

    At present, the FH Community of Practice publishes content in four languages, namely English, French and Spanish, without translating the content. If you intend to submit content in more than one language, please make separate entries in the system.

Guidelines for Publications

Apart from the general guidelines applicable to all FH Community of Practice content, the following criteria are also applicable for publication submissions:

  1. Provenance:

    The FH Community of Practice welcomes original submissions from both organizations and individuals. In case of individual submission, include the following details:

    • The document must contain a brief author bio that enables readers to quickly evaluate the author's credentials.
    • Additionally, submissions should include citations and references.
    • All submissions are subject to review by plagiarism detection software. FH Community of Practice adheres to strict guidelines on plagiarism and retains the right to reject any document that raises concerns regarding plagiarism.

    FH Community of Practice accepts only PhD-level thesis papers and does not consider master's level papers. Verification, authenticity and affiliation can be done with academic institutions

    Therefore, please ensure that your submission is a PhD-level thesis paper and that the necessary steps have been taken to verify the authenticity of your affiliation and content.

  2. Layout:

    All publications submitted to the FH Community of Practice must have a professional appearance, grammatically correct and without typing errors. In the event that your submission is rejected, we will provide a reason for the rejection and give you the opportunity to resubmit with the necessary improvements.

  3. Genre of material:

    As a public good, the FH Community of Practice only publishes content that is available for free. We welcome a diverse range of document types, such as books (that are available for free), case studies, guides, operational tools and manuals, papers, toolkits, and web publications

    We do not publish annual reports, draft papers, newsletters or bulletins, presentations and ratings

  4. Evidence and insights:

    The FH Community of Practice welcomes research publications and evidence-based reports that align with the defined thematic categories. Please note that research publications should include the following types of content:

    • A brief author bio within the document, presented in a format that enables readers to easily assess the author's qualifications
    • Citations and references for all sources cited in the document
    • Please be aware that all submissions are subject to review by plagiarism detection software. FH Community of Practice adheres to strict guidelines on plagiarism and retains the right to reject any document that raises concerns regarding plagiarism.
